Advanced Filter System (AFS) I Replacement CartridgeThe Advanced Filter System (AFS) I, (Not for Air or O2 use), removes oxygen, moisture and hydrocarbons, (greater than C4) to low-ppb levels, from inert gases and hydrogen. It contains high-sensitivity oxygen and moisture indicators. When the cartridge is depleted the oxygen indicator changes from GREEN to GREY. The Moisture indicator changes from BLUE to BROWN.
The filter has a very high capacity and can be expected to supply four GC’s for at least one year when used with 99.995% pure gas (provided reasonable care is taken during tank changes).
Construction of the filter is a stainless steel outer casing with a protective inner polycarbonate tube. the gas only contacts the inner glass tube containing the high capacity filter material.
