Prosulfuron is a sulfonylurea herbicide that controls certain annual broadleaved weeds including velvetleaf, common cocklebur, common lambsquarters, redroot pigweed and ragweed. Sulfonylurea herbicides inhibit the production of branched-chain amino acids, including valine, leucine, and isoleucine.
