Sedaxane (CAS # 874967-67-6)
Chem Service Certified Reference Standard
- Sedaxane Solution 100ug/ml in Methanol
- Sedaxane
Chem Service, Inc. recently added sedaxane (CAS# 874967-67-6) to its already extensive line of high purity pesticide standards. After more than 50 years of producing quality small quantity chemicals, Chem Service is proud to be among the very few distributors of this modern fungicide.
Only approved for use in the past few years in countries such as the U.S., Canada, Australia, Czech Republic and France, sedaxane is a chemical compound manufactured by Syngenta. As part of its pesticides Vibrance, Vibrance Extreme and CruiserMaxx Vibrance, sedaxane is used on crops including cereals, corn, rice, potatoes, soy and canola. First used in Argentina, sedaxane works to protect seeds, roots and leaves from fungi in the air and soil. It has proven to be effective against loose smut, head smut, soya bean rust, stink bunt, smut, snow mould and Rhizoctonia root rot. Sedaxane is also in Sedaxane Technical, a manufacturing use product, and may have further applications in the future.
Chemically written as 2′-[(1RS,2SR)-1,1′-bicycloprop-2-yl]-3-(difluoromethyl)-1-methylpyrazole-4-carboxanilide or C18H19F2N3, sedaxane is a carboxamide fungicide and inhibitor of fungal pathogens.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rated sedaxane as "likely to be a carcinogenic to humans" following results from rodent studies on the fungicide. However, the EPA approved the chemical for registration and wrote that it "will not generally cause unreasonable adverse effects on the environment."
As sedaxane evolves as a fungicide with widespread agricultural use for some of the world's most popular and important crops, standards testing is critical. And with 95 percent of its products certified with purity of 98 percent or higher, Chem Service is the best option for researchers and chemists looking for sedaxane standards.
Chem Service has over 2,000 Pesticide and Metabolite Reference Standards.
