Penthiopyrad Part No: N-17917-50mg
Penthiopyrad is a very new Succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) fungicide, used to control rust, Rhizoctonia diseases, powdery mildew and others. DuPont has completed supply agreements with Mitsui Chemicals Inc. for the this product in 2007 and began marketing two products containing penthiopyrad Fontelis and Vertisan in 2011. Penthiopyrad belongs to the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee’s Group 7, carboxamides. It is awaiting approval from the EC Directive 1107/2009 yet Canada has granted registration approval in November, 2011, US EPA registration in March, 2012, and The California Department of Pesticide Regulation in January, 2013.

Penthiopyrad is used for the control of pathogenic fungi as scab (Venturia inaequalis) on apples and pears, gray mold (Botrytic cinerea) and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Sclerotinia sclerotiorum) on tomatoes, eggplants and cucumbers, and leaf and aarziekten on cereals.
